On Sunday evening, undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov made a callout of another undefeated fighter — boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.

In his callout of Mayweather, Nurmagomedov reminded that he was able to drop Conor McGregor with a punch at UFC 229, but Floyd Mayweather was not able to drop the Irishman in their 2017 boxing mega fight.

“Hey let’s go Floyd, we have to fight now,” Khabib Nurmagomedov said. “50-0 versus 27-0. Two guys who never lose. Let’s go. Why not? Because in the jungle only one king. Only one king. Of course I am the king. Because he [Mayweather] cannot drop McGregor, but I drop him easily. Let’s fight. Let’s go.”

It did not take long for Floyd Mayweather to respond to this callout from Khabib Nurmagomedov. From the sounds of it, he’s up for the challenge.

“CBS, Showtime and MGM Grand get the checkbook out,” Floyd Mayweather said in response to this callout from the UFC lightweight champ. “Go to [Leonard Ellerbe’s] page to view Khabib Nurmagomedov challenging me.”

Floyd Mayweather boasts a flawless record of 50-0 as a professional boxer. He earned his 50th win at the expense of Conor McGregor. Although he claimed that he was retiring after his win over McGregor, he’s since hinted at comeback fights opposite McGregor and another key rival of his career, Manny Pacquiao.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s record currently sits at 27-0 — easily the most impressive record in MMA at present. His last win occurred at UFC 229 earlier this month, when he submitted McGregor in the fourth round.

Do you think there’s any chance we’ll see Khabib Nurmagomedov and Floyd Mayweather fight? Which ruleset do you think fight would occur under?
