EXCLUSIVE | LFA Champ Brendan Allen vs Aaron Jeffery slated for Contender Series

By Nolan King - April 9, 2019

LFA champion Brendan Allen (11-3) and surging Canadian Aaron Jeffery (6-1) are potentially one fight away from a UFC contract. The two middleweights will be squaring off on the July 16 episode of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, multiple sources confirm to BJPenn.com

Allen, 23, is highly regarded as one of the best unsigned middleweight prospects in North America. Competing against tough competition for the entirety of his stint in MMA, has suffered three career losses. All three men that beat Allen went on to make it to the UFC — Anthony Hernandez, Eryk Anders, and Trevin Giles.

After two failed attempts to win the LFA Middleweight Championship, “All In” finally clinched gold in his third attempt. Paired up with fellow top prospect Moses Murrietta, Allen dominated the fight from bell to bell — scoring numerous 10-8 rounds on the judges scorecards.

Louisiana’s own will look to carry his success into his bout with Ontario’s Jeffery.

Currently serving as the BTC Middleweight Champion, Jeffery will look to stop the Allen’s hype and earn a UFC contract in the process. Jeffery has been unbeatable since dropping a fight to Sean Brady in 2015, going 4-0 with three TKOs.

In his last outing at BTC 5, Jeffery defeated Jo Vallée via knees in Round 4 to grab BTC gold. He’ll aim to continue his winning ways on July 19.
