Dana White takes aim at Eddie Hearn following UFC 326: “He don’t want to fight or box anybody”

Dana White has further added fuel to the fire for his war of words with Eddie Hearn.

Hearn and White have been at odds ever since Zuffa entered the world of boxing promotion. Zuffa Boxing made a bold move signing Conor Benn to a one-fight deal worth $15 million. Hearn responded with quite the move of his own, representing UFC Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall through Matchroom’s talent agency.

While White recently said he has no issue with Hearn representing Aspinall, that doesn’t mean the verbal shots have ended. During the UFC 326 post-fight press conference, White was asked whether or not the idea of boxing Hearn is legitimate (h/t MMAJunkie).

“It was serious and a joke,” White said. “I’m f*cking 56 years old. I shouldn’t be f*cking boxing anything. The last time I tried to get ready to box was for Tito (Ortiz). I was 38, and that was a f*cking nightmare, OK? Eddie Hearn is a p*ssy. He don’t want to fight or box anybody. Come on: F*cking Eddie Hearn boxing?”

During an interview with iFL TV, Hearn made it clear that he wouldn’t mind sharing the ring with White. The Matchroom boss believes he’d have White seeing stars.

“I’ve always said yes (to fighting promoters), because I know I’d win those fights,” Hearn said. “But I watch Dana sparring. By the way, of course I’d do it. Because how could you say no? Then, you’d be a p*ssy, wouldn’t you? By the way, Netflix would pay an absolute (fortune), or live on DAZN, the global home of boxing. So I’d probably make a fortune to do it. If I got chinned, I’ll get chinned. But I’d probably spark him out, to be fair.”

While one would think a clash between White and Hearn is unlikely, stranger matchups have been made in the boxing world. Simply put, if there’s money to be made, you can never truly rule a fight out.
