Dana White discusses Conor McGregor’s fighting future after UFC 326

UFC boss Dana White has provided an update on the future of Conor McGregor after the UFC Freedom 250 announcement.
While he may not exactly be everyone’s favorite person, there’s no denying that Conor McGregor is still the biggest name in mixed martial arts. That will likely continue to be the case for a long time to come, with ‘Notorious’ having one of the most insane runs the sport has ever seen, peaking when he was able to become a two-weight world champion in the UFC almost a decade ago.

Some felt like McGregor was going to feature on the UFC Freedom 250 card at the White House this summer. It made sense from a star power standpoint, plus, he has a close relationship with US president Donald Trump – or at least it seems that way based on his latest political shift.
In a recent interview, Dana White provided an update of sorts on McGregor’s future.

White on McGregor’s future
“No [update on Conor’s future]. But, we are definitely talking to Conor, obviously.”
Dana was then asked if there was any kind of timetable in place for an announcement to be made.
“Not even close.”
With Conor calling for a possible clash with Charles Oliveira, there’s every chance that he is featured as part of International Fight Week off the back of the impending White House card. Either way, from a financial point of view, the UFC would certainly benefit from having the Irishman back.
