Anthony Smith vows to lay beating on ‘f***ing piece of s**t’ Luke Rockhold

UFC light heavyweight contender Anthony Smith is generally known as a polite and level-headed fighter. When he was asked about former UFC middleweight champ Luke Rockhold at Friday’s UFC seasonal press conference, however, Smith showed a fiery side of his personality we don’t often see.

“That guys a f***ing piece of shit,” a fired up Smith said of Rockhold. “F**k Luke Rockhold. The first opportunity I get, I’m gonna drill a hole through Luke Rockhold’s f***ing face. I promise you guys that.”

Anthony Smith is currently set to battle fellow light heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafsson in the main event of UFC Stockholm in early June. That being said, he said a fight with Rockhold is a priority for him no matter the outcome of his upcoming battle with Gustafsson.

“The first opportunity I get after this fight [with Gustafsson],” he said. “It doesn’t matter what happens. I’ll fight Luke Rockhold with one f***ing leg. I’m going to beat that dude’s f***ing ass.”

Needless to say, Anthony Smith is not a Luke Rockhold fan. Smith’s disdain for the former middleweight champion stems from some recent comments Rockhold made on Submission Radio.

“Anthony Smith, yeah. I mean, what, (Thiago) Santos came up just recently too. These guys, I’m just not impressed,” Rockhold said. “They’re a little sloppy in so many ways and I see openings and I’m ready to move up. I mean, the rest of the division, there’s a couple of good guys up there, but I don’t see much. I’m ready to come up and I’m ready to shut it down. [Smith] looked like shit. He didn’t look good in his last fight. I’m not gonna say… he looked like a bum, truthfully.”
