UFC light heavyweight champ Alex Pereira has dropped a massive hint about who he’s fighting next.

Pereira, who is now in the midst of his third reign as a UFC champion, is one of the biggest stars on the roster. There’s always a lot of anticipation between his fights as fans await news of his next opponent.

Right now, rumors are swirling about a potential super fight between Pereira and former two-division champ Jon Jones, potentially at the UFC White House event on June. 14. It’s safe to say Pereira has supercharged those rumors.

The light heavyweight champ recently visited the tire shop he used to work at in Brazil. He filmed some content there, and in one shot, fans quickly noticed the words ‘next Jones’ written on one of the tires.

While this does little to confirm a Jones vs. Pereira fight will actually happen at the UFC White House event, it suddenly seems possible. Initially, UFC CEO Dana White seemed totally opposed to the idea. In a recent interview with Complex, however, his tune seemed to change a bit. He suggested he’d be open to the fight if it is contested at light heavyweight, rather than heavyweight, where Jones last fought.

“At 205? That would be a fight, but can I count on Jon Jones?” White pondered.

“I can’t have Jon Jones doing something bad or pulling out of the f**king White House fight.”
