UFC Mexico City takes place tomorrow, Saturday February 24th at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico.

Brandon Moreno and Brandon Royval at UFC Mexico City

The flyweight main event will see former champion Brandon Moreno (21-7 MMA) face rival Brandon Royval (15-7 MMA).

Moreno, 30, will be looking to get back in the win column after his recent loss to Alexandre Pantoja (27-5 MMA) last July at UFC 290.

Royval, 31, is also looking to come back from his most recent defeat to Pantoja in December of last year at UFC 296.

This is the second meeting of the two, as Moreno and Royval originally fought in November of 2020 at UFC 255 where it was ‘The Assassin Baby’ being victorious via TKO at 4:59 of round 1.

The co-main event of UFC Mexico City will feature a featherweight showdown rematch between Yair Rodriguez (19-4 MMA) and Brian Ortega (15-3 MMA).

‘El Pantera’ is looking for a win following his most recent TKO loss to Alexander Volkanovski (26-4 MMA) in July of last year at UFC 290.

‘T-City’ is coming into the event sporting back-to-back losses against Alexander Volkanovski and Yair Rodriguez, the latter of which was due to injury.
