Two big fights have been added to July’s UFC Fight Night 113 event in Glasgow, Scotland.

The promotion announced last night that perennial welterweight contender Gunnar Nelson would be headlining the event against Argentinean standout Santiago Ponzinibbio.

Gunnar Nelson was most recently seen in action at March’s UFC Fight Night event in London where he scored a second-round submission victory over Alan Jouban. “Gunni” has won three of his past four fights overall, with his lone loss in that time coming to top division contender Demian Maia via decision.

Meanwhile, Santiago Ponzinibbio is currently riding a four-fight win streak, his latest being a decision victory over Nordine Taleb at ‘UFC Fight Night Halifax’ this past February.

“Gente Boa” has gone 24-3 overall in his career, his most recent setback came against Lorenz Larkin via TKO in June of 2015.

Scotland’s Joanne Calderwood will also return to action in front of her home crowd on July 16 in Glasgow.

The strawweight standout, Calderwood, will be squaring off against the undefeated Cynthia Calvillo at UFC Fight Night 113.

Calderwood was last seen in action at September’s UFC 203 event in Cleveland, where she suffered a submission loss to streaking division contender Jessica Andrade. Joanne has gone 2-2 over her past four fights.

As for Cynthia Calvillo (5-0 MMA), the highly regarded UFC newcomer has gone 2-0 inside the octagon, scoring submission victories over Pearl Gonazalez and Amanda Cooper.
