‘UFC Fight Night: Phoenix’ salary report

Sunday evening in Phoenix, Arizona, the UFC held ‘UFC Fight Night 103’, which was headlined by a highly anticipated featherweight scrap between streaking contender Yair Rodriguez and UFC Hall of Famer BJ Penn which saw Rodriguez earn the biggest win of his career as he TKOd Penn in the second. In the co-main event, fan-favorite fighter Joe Lauzon stepped into the Octagon to face submission ace Marcin Held in a fight which saw Lauzon win a controversial split decision.

In addition, the card played host to several stellar performances, most notably Aleksi Oleinik’s ezekiel choke from bottom mount position which left fight fans in awe.

Yair Rodriguez and Aleksei Oleinik both banked an extra $50,000 for earning ‘Performance of the Night’ bonuses. In addition, Augusto Mendes and Frankie Saenz both earned $50,000 for their ‘Fight of the Night’.
