UFC veteran Tim Means was arrested and charged with child abuse in New Mexico on Wednesday, according to the Albuquerque Journal.

According to the police report, police were called to Means’ residence on Monday, Apr. 21. His 17-year-old daughter is reported to have made the call, after he allegedly head-butted and punched her during an argument about chores. She also alleges that grabbed her throat in a “strangulating manner.”

“Let it be known that there were visible hand and red marks on [the teen’s] neck, indicating she was strangled,” the complaint reads.

“There was blood on and in her nose where she was head-butted and several red marks indicated she was hit in the face and on her cheek.”

Means has reportedly been released from custody.
