VIDEO | Sean Strickland brutalizes controversial streamer Sneako in sparring session

By Josh Evanoff - February 9, 2024

Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland absolutely battered Rumble streamer Sneako earlier today.

Sean Strickland, Sneako

‘Tarzan’ has been out of the cage since his meeting with UFC 297 against Dricus du Plessis last month. For Sean Strickland, the fight was the first title defense of his middleweight reign. Last September, he famously dominated Israel Adesanya in Australia to win the gold by unanimous decision.

At UFC 297 last month, Sean Strickland went to war with ‘Stillknocks’ for five rounds. At the end of 25 minutes, the South African walked away with a split-decision win. In the process, ending Strickland’s title reign after just a few short months. Post-fight, the former champion slammed the judges for the decision.

It seems that Sean Strickland still has a bit of anger from last month left in him. Earlier today, ‘Tarzan’ was seen on a live stream with controversial influencer Sneako. The latter has been training in boxing for a few months and decided to spar with Strickland at the UFC Apex. Things quickly got out of control.

The two were first going at a bit of a slow pace. However, Strickland suddenly turned up the pressure and wound up battering Sneako in the sparring session. Despite multiple attempts at throwing in the towel, the fight went on. In the end, the controversial Rumble streamer walked away with a bloody nose, but it could’ve gone a lot worse.

Former UFC champion Sean Strickland batters Sneako during a heated sparring session

After the sparring session came to a close, the two were seemingly friendly. Sean Strickland explained to the streamer afterward that had he gone down, he would’ve stopped punching. However, Sneako didn’t, and the former champion seemed to appreciate that fact.

“Hey, the fact that you did not fall down is a testament,” Sean Strickland stated to Sneako following their heated sparring session. “Bro, I was trying to [make you fall]. All you had to do was fall and I would’ve stopped. That was a testament [to your toughness].”

Given Sean Strickland’s reputation for hard sparring, his session with Sneako went about as well as expected. While it got heated, it also ended with the two men seemingly on good terms. With that in mind, the situation could’ve ended much worse than it did.

For Sneako, this is far from his first introduction to the combat sports world. Last month, he got into a public feud with ONE Championship’s Mikey Musumeci, and the grappler challenged him to an MMA fight. However, the streamer quickly declined his offer.
