UFC 299 | Pro fighters make their picks for Sean O’Malley vs. Marlon Vera 2 title fight

In the main event of UFC 299, the bantamweight title is on the line as Sean O’Malley defends his strap in a rematch against Marlon Vera. Heading into the fight, O’Malley is a -280 favorite while the the challenger is a +210 underdog on FanDuel.

Ahead of the scrap, BJPENN.com reached out to several pro fighters to make their picks for the bantamweight title fight. The pros are actually going with the underdog in Vera to get his hand raised and become the bantamweight champion.

Max Griffin, UFC welterweight: I got O’Malley, I had Chito before but I think O’Malley is too good now.

Dan Ige, UFC featherweight: I keep leaning both ways but I will go with Chito to get it done again.

Julian Erosa, UFC featherweight: Chito is my boy, we have trained together so I am going with him but it will be a tough fight. O’Malley is so long for the division and such a good striker.

Davey Grant, UFC bantamweight: I’d like to see Chito win, I fought him twice and would like to see him win the title.

Billy Quarantillo, UFC featherweight: I’m going with Sean O’Malley. I feel like he has looked better recently but I do think it will be a good fight. It’s going to be a good fight, I just think Sean has so many advantages on the feet.

Kurt Holobaugh, UFC lightweight: It is a tough one. People still doubt Sean O’Malley, but I do think Chito gets it done. Chito is a dog and I think the longer the fight goes the better for Chito.

Bryan Battle, UFC welterweight: I got O’Malley in that one. I think he was doing good in the first fight. I’m rooting for Chito but stylistically, I don’t think this is a good fight for him.

Steven Peterson, former UFC featherweight: Man, I think Chito Vera gets it done again. O’Malley has grown on me, but I think Vera is too tough and can win a decision.
