Rousey posted a quote to her Instagram account from Robert Green Ingersoll who once said, “The greatest test of courage on earth is to bear defeat without losing heart.”

With UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm putting on such a dominant performance over the once thought unbeatable Ronda Rousey back at UFC 193, many might think Holm will easily continue to dominate the division. It will mark the first time Ronda Rousey will appear in front a live crowd since losing to Holly Holm at UFC 193. Rousey is scheduled to host Saturday Night Live on Jan. 23, which will mark her first major television appearance since losing as well. Rousey has made an effort to stay away from media interviews and cameras since her devastating knockout loss to Holm back in November. She has had one highlighted interview with ESPN magazine, and aside from that has been rather quiet on her social media with hints of unhappiness in some of her posts.

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has mostly stayed out of the public eye since her UFC 193 KO loss to Holly Holm at the end of 2015. While Rousey still attended the Marine Corps ball, the premiere of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ and has even been booked to host Saturday Night Live, she has stayed away from major public appearances.

Ronda Rousey has been laying low since her defeat against Holly Holm at UFC 193. UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta has mentioned that Rousey will be filming two movies before making her way back to fighting in the Octagon, but it looks like Ronda has also been busy doing a shoot for the 2016 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. Former champ Ronda “Rowdy” Rousey” will be hosting the popular comedy-skit TV show Saturday Night Live on January 23rd. NBC announced the hosting of the former champ on NBC’s Facebook feed.  This will be the first time we’ll see the champ in a different light after she lost her title back in November of last year.

Other key points that come up is we have a champ that wants to stay active and is being held back in fear of Holly Holm losing her belt to Miesha Tate.   Cat Zingano could get back in the hunt if she fights more than once a year she might get her second shot at Rousey after being submitted in 14 seconds.
