Since then, Holm’s social media channels have ballooned, she has made appearances on some of the biggest media outlets, has met and hung out with celebrities and her fan base has multiplied many times over.

After Donald Cerrone’s UFC on FOX 17 loss to Rafael dos Anjos, it was revealed that Cerrone would be moving up to welterweight to face Tim Means in Pittsburgh. Ultimately, Means was pulled from the event after it was revealed that he potentially failed a USADA drug test. The UFC replaced Means with Alex ‘Cowboy’ Oliveira in a battle of the Cowboy’s.

While it seems like everyone at every weight class, in every promotion, wants a crack at Conor McGregor, UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos will be the next man to step in the Octagon with McGregor on March 5th at UFC 196.

While Ronda Rousey has stated several times since her UFC 193 KO loss to Holly Holm that she would be returning to the Octagon for a rematch with Holm after filming several movies, the former champ has been surprisingly happy away from fighting. While the UFC brass wanted to see Holm vs. Rousey II at UFC 200 in July, the former champ’s filming schedule won’t give her enough time to prepare for a fight at UFC 200.

The former UFC women’s bantamweight champion posted a photo from her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to her Instagram account. Some fans and critics made a few comments that Rousey looked like she had gotten skinnier.

While the UFC wanted to book a rematch between the two as soon as possible, preferably at UFC 200 in July, Rousey’s busy Hollywood filming schedule will make it so that she is unable to compete at the event.

During a recent appearance on the Ellen Degeneres Show Rousey revealed that she had suicidal thoughts following the fight. This brought out quite a bit of support for the former champ, which was a change from how Rousey had been criticized following the loss.

Bellator MMA is expanding it’s reach in the combat sports world. It was revealed on Thursday that the promotion would begin hosting Kickboxing events as ‘Bellator Kickboxing’ starting in April. The announcement was made at the Bellator 149 press conference on Thursday in preparation for Friday’s Bellator 149 card.
