Check out this video of UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos training for his upcoming fight with featherweight champion Conor McGregor. The two are set to fight in a historic bout as McGregor looks to become the first fighter in UFC history to hold two different weight class’ belts at the same time.
In the video posted by dos Anjos’ strength and condition coach, you see dos Anjos successfully complete a workout series while Machida does not make it to the end of the routine.
The video’s caption explains things a bit better on behalf of Lyoto Machida’s performance.
“Training camp is just about wrapped up for the Champ Rafael Dos Anjos and he’s more than ready for March 5th.. and training camp is just getting started with Lyoto Machida. @rdosanjosmma @lyotomachidafw Going for 4 UFC belts by 2017, wouldn’t that be something? #speedofsport #ufc #mma #training #wod #plyometrics #speedstrength #explosive #ufc196 #dosanjosmcgregor”
While Machida is just starting to ramp things up and get into his best possible fighting shape, it sounds like Rafael dos Anjos already is, according to his trainer.
