Mixed martial arts veteran Chris Leben (22-11 MMA) was planning on coming out of retirement to fight for the Bellator MMA promotion. Sadly that is no longer the case, as MMAJunkie is reporting that “The Crippler” has been diagnosed with a severe medical condition that has left Chris with just 18 percent of normal blood flow to his heart.

UFC President Dana White has been filming his “Lookin For A Fight” show alongside former UFC champion Matt Serra and Nick The Tooth. The show has seen several fighters earn a shot inside the Octagon, including Mickey Gall and Sage Northcutt.

UFC strawweight star Paige VanZant will be looking to knockout competition in a new realm. “12 Gauge” will be joining a star-studded cast on season 22 of “Dancing with the Stars.” The ABC show series is scheduled to start March 21st and will air on ABC. Other celebrities appearing on season 22 include Super Bowl champion Von Miller, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown and “Fuller House” star Jodie Sweetin.

The world has seen a new side to Conor McGregor following his first loss in the UFC at the hands of UFC veteran Nate Diaz. McGregor was very humble in his interviews after the fight and said that he was “humble in victory or defeat.” According to Bloody Elbow, McGregor told ESPN’s Todd Grisham that he would still be undefeated in the UFC, and would be a two-weight UFC champion.

Prior to UFC 196, Conor McGregor revealed that he committed to a fight at UFC 200, however no opponent was named. There was speculation that McGregor could face welterweight champion Robbie Lawler if he were to defeat Diaz at UFC 196. As the world knows by now, in the main event of UFC 196, McGregor was rocked and then submitted by Nate Diaz in the second round of their welterweight scrap. In the wake of McGregor’s loss to Diaz, SBG head coach John Kavanagh spoke on The MMA Hour to discuss potential opponents for McGregor at UFC 200.

In the main event of UFC 196 this past Saturday, fans saw Conor McGregor lose for the first time under the UFC banner, ending his 15 fight win streak. Of course, the bout took place at welterweight, 25 pounds higher than featherweight, where McGregor reigns champion. With that being said, former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen believes McGregor’s performance at UFC 196 parallels Mike Tyson’s performance against Evander Holyfield.

Since then Zingano has taken the time to work on her standup skills in Thailand, while MMA fans have anxiously awaited her return. This past Saturday at UFC 196, Miesha Tate submitted Holly Holm in the 5th round of their co-main event scrap for the UFC women’s bantamweight championship.
