Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has run into trouble with the law again and wanted to address the fans before the media got a hold of the story. Jones was recently pulled over by an Albuquerque police officer and given five traffic citations. Jones is seen in the video recorded on the police officer’s body cam visually upset with the officer’s judgement.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is making headlines outside of the cage with video surfacing of a recent incident with police. Apparently Jones was recently pulled over by a police officer in Albuquerque, New Mexico and issued five traffic citations.

The highly anticipated UFC debut of Invicta FC featherweight champion Cris “Cyborg” Justino has finally been announced. The UFC released the news on Monday that “Cyborg” will face Leslie Smith in a catchweight bout at 140 pounds on the UFC 198 card on May 14. Justino who usually fights at the featherweight limit of 145 pounds will debut in the UFC in front of her home town at the Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Brazil.

Nate Diaz took the biggest fight of his career with just 10 days notice against the biggest star in the UFC, the featherweight champion Conor McGregor. With just 10 days notice stepping in for an injured Rafael dos Anjos, Diaz was out partying in Cabo when he received the call to fight McGregor and with a bit of negotiation, the fight was made. Diaz ended up outclassing “The Notorious” and handing him his first loss in the UFC.

After Hunt landed a devastating strike to Mir’s head that sent him to the canvas at UFC Fight Night 85, Mir spoke on the Phone Booth Fighting podcast about how he was feeling when the fight was called to an end (transcribed by MMA Fighting). “Yes, it was a good stoppage,” Mir said. “My lights were on, but I had no bearings on where anything was coming from. So the effectiveness of me being able to defend myself was very low at that point.”

Urijah Faber is currently gearing up for his UFC 199 trilogy fight with bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz on June 4th, however the MMA veteran is currently in Maui enjoying the beach. Coincidentally, Faber ran into UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos on the beach as well. A report emerged from TalkMMA on Twitter that DC was spotted at a wrestling tournament barely able to talk. McGregor repeatedly called out Diaz for ‘teaching Sunday morning kid’s Jiu-Jitsu’ and ‘going on bike rides with the elderly’. Diaz spoke on Fox Sports about why he feels McGregor’s insults were scripted.
