After losing her championship to Miesha Tate in the co-main event of UFC 196, Holm is eyeing a rematch with ‘Cupcake’ sooner rather than later. Ultimately, it was announced that the UFC had signed Cyborg to fight Leslie Smith in Curitiba Brazil at UFC 198.

Recently it was announced that the UFC had booked Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz II for the main event of UFC 200, and Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar for an interim featherweight fight. The UFC then posted a photo counting down the days to UFC 200, using a photo of Georges St. Pierre, leading many to wonder if GSP would inevitably be returning to the Octagon.

A judge ruled that a ticket Jones received for allegedly drag racing violated the terms of his probation. The pound-for-pound mixed martial arts kingpin had been in custody at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center since Tuesday morning.

News broke Wednesday afternoon on UFC Tonight that Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz II had been officially booked for UFC 200. In addition, it was announced that Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar would be competing for the interim featherweight championship. While leaked footage earlier this month showed Nate Diaz revealing that he wanted the rematch with McGregor to take place at lightweight so that McGregor wouldn’t have ‘an excuse’ this time around, the bout has been officially set as a welterweight rematch.
