Confirmed! Holly Holm turned down fight with Cris Cyborg

While Holly Holm has been very open about fighting Invicta FC champion Cris Cyborg in the past, the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion has a different opponent in mind for her next fight. After losing her championship to Miesha Tate in the co-main event of UFC 196, Holm is eyeing a rematch with ‘Cupcake’ sooner rather than later. Ultimately, it was announced that the UFC had signed Cyborg to fight Leslie Smith in Curitiba Brazil at UFC 198.

Recently it was announced that the UFC had booked Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz II for the main event of UFC 200, and Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar for an interim featherweight fight. The UFC then posted a photo counting down the days to UFC 200, using a photo of Georges St. Pierre, leading many to wonder if GSP would inevitably be returning to the Octagon.

A judge ruled that a ticket Jones received for allegedly drag racing violated the terms of his probation. Jones turned himself into police on Tuesday and was held in custody until his court hearing on Thursday
