Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has just inked another deal in the film industry. Rousey has landed a contract for three movies with the Lifetime Network. Rousey joins other stars including Janet Jackson and Serena Williams who will be a part of Lifetime’s 2016-2017 development schedule, according to Deadspin.

Jon Jones has gotten a bit of flack for his performance against Ovince Saint Preux at UFC 197. “OSP” stepped in on three weeks notice when Jones’ original opponent Daniel Cormier was forced out of their bout due to an injury. Jones’ wrestling coach Izzy Martinez attributed part of the lackluster performance due to the new opponent being given to them on short notice.

Early Wednesday morning, UFC President Dana White was joined by Chuck Liddell, Daniel Cormier, Frankie Edgar, Jon Jones, Paige VanZant, and Miesha Tate on Good Morning America. The UFC President announced that Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier II would headline UFC 200 on July 9th.

Recently news broke that Fedor Emelianenko would be making his return to MMA once again on June 17th under the Fight Nights Global banner in Russia to fight Fabio Maldonado. Surprisingly, the promotion has now offered Conor McGregor $2 million to fight at the event as well. This comes after McGregor was pulled from UFC 200 for refusing to fulfill his media obligations for the event.

This past weekend UFC pound for pound kingpin Jon Jones made his return to the Octagon against Ovince Saint Preux in the main event of UFC 197. Jones defeated OSP via unanimous decision to claim the interim light heavyweight championship. While Jones did win the fight, he wasn’t thrilled with his performance, and neither was Daniel Cormier. Jones chalked his hesitance up to a late change of opponents, throwing off his gameplan.

Cormier sat ringside doing color commentary alongside Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg for the main event UFC interim light heavyweight title fight between Jones and Ovince Saint Preux. With Jones’ unanimous decision win over Saint Preux, Jones and Cormier will get to settle their differences in the Octagon next for the undisputed title.

Although MacDonald said in a recent interview with MMA Junkie that his ideal situation would be to re-sign with the UFC with what he feels he is worth and go for the UFC welterweight title, Bellator President Scott Coker may be able to change his mind.

With much speculation that “GSP” will return to the Octagon in 2016, it only seems fitting that he would be in shape. “Rush” posted a photo after a training session with Olivier Aubin-Mercier and is looking in great shape, but not very big next to his lightweight teammate.
