Since Michael Bisping defeated Anderson Silva in the main event of ‘UFC London’ back in February, there has been much speculation as to where Bisping falls in the UFC middleweight title picture. While Yoel Romero became the #1 contender at middleweight after defeating Jacare Souza at UFC 194, a failed drug test has landed Romero a 6 month suspension. The way Bisping sees is, he has earned the right to fight the winner of UFC 199’s Rockhold vs. Weidman rematch.

While Yoel Romero may currently be suspended by the UFC for taking a supplement which was contaminated with a banned substance, ‘Soldier Of God’ didn’t shy away from an opportunity to bash UFC veteran Michael Bisping. Bisping, who is coming off a unanimous decision win over Anderson Silva in London, is looking to face the winner of UFC 199’s middleweight title fight between Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman.

While the UFC took the brunt of the blowback for Conor McGregor refusing to fulfill his media obligations for UFC 200, the promotion wasn’t the only one affected by McGregor’s standoff with the UFC. Co-headliner Miesha Tate, who will look to defend her UFC women’s bantamweight championship against Amanda Nunes in the co-main event, had to step in on short notice to film an extra promo segment after McGregor refused to show up. She explained on her podcast that her, Jose Aldo, and Frankie Edgar were all slated to film promo segments for UFC 200. When Conor McGregor no-showed, the production team begged Tate to return later in the day and miss a training session in order to film an extra promo. Tate agreed, and ultimately ended up missing a practice session as a result of the filming.

The result of Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson and Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris has been overturned to a no-contest, according to MMA Junkie. This comes as a result following Kimbo’s settlement with Texas’ athletic commission after testing positive for steroids in a post-fight drug test from their controversial fight at Bellator 149. Slice was fined $2,500 and had his Texas fight license revoked and waived his right to a hearing.
