UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor is currently the biggest draw in the UFC and is now without a scheduled fight.
McGregor was set to fight Nate Diaz in an immediate non-title welterweight rematch in the main event of UFC 200 but was pulled from the card after refusing to take part in media obligations to promote the event.
UFC President Dana White has said that McGregor will have to defend his featherweight title in his next UFC fight against the winner of Jose Also vs. Frankie Edgar 2, who fight at UFC 200.
McGregor’s reason for not wanting to take part in the media obligations for UFC 200 was to train for his rematch with Diaz after suffering his first loss in the UFC at UFC 196.
