UFC heavyweight Stefan Struve is set to take on Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva at UFC Fight Night 87, which takes place in Struve’s homeland of the Netherlands. Struve made his first appearance in the Octagon at the young age of 21 against Junior dos Santos at UFC 95 back in 2009. Dos Santos took out Struve in his debut in the first round by TKO.

Thursday evening a clip emerged of UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate on The Joe Rogan Experience discussing a time when Paige VanZant told her that Ronda Rousey had verbally attacked her during a Reebok photoshoot. UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos and UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor were supposed to meet in a superfight at UFC 196. However, Dos Anjos broke his foot leading up to the fight and Nate Diaz stepped in as a late replacement and now dos Anjos is no longer in the picture to fight “The Notorious.” This hasn’t stopped dos Anjos from getting his jabs in on McGregor when he can.

While Conor McGregor has refrained from doing interviews regarding his ongoing standoff with the UFC that saw him pulled from his UFC 200 rematch with Nate Diaz on July 9th, Gunnar Nelson has been able to provide some insight into how McGregor is doing. While SBG Ireland head coach John Kavanagh revealed recently that McGregor’s next fight will likely take place at either UFC 201 or 202, there has been no official word from the UFC on when the featherweight champ will be fighting.

Former UFC champion Tito Ortiz may be in the UFC Hall of Fame, however Ortiz often found himself at odds with the UFC brass during the course of his stint with the promotion. Now a Bellator MMA fighter, Ortiz offered some advice to Conor McGregor, who is currently in the middle of a standoff with the UFC. McGregor refused to fulfill his promo obligations for his UFC 200 rematch with Nate Diaz on July 9th, and as a result was pulled from the event. While there has been no official word yet on McGregor’s next fight, it is rumored that he will fight at either UFC 201 or 202.

It’s been just 4 months since TJ Dillashaw lost the UFC bantamweight championship to Dominick Cruz in Boston in January, but it appears as though the former champ is looking to return to the Octagon sooner rather than later. According to Megan Olivi, Dillashaw could wind up fighting on UFC 200 on July 9th against Raphael Assuncao. Assuncao was the last man to defeat Dillashaw before Cruz did in January. The loss to Assuncao was a controversial one, with Dillashaw losing via razor thin split decision.

The UFC just announced a fight that has “Fight of the Night” written all over it with Edson Barboza taking on Gilbert Melendez at UFC on FOX 20. Other fights that are reported to be in the works for the event taking place July 23 in Chicago, Illinois include Anthony “Rumble” Johnson vs. Glover Teixeira and Holly Holm vs. Valentina Shevchenko.
