Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has not fought in the Octagon since losing her championship belt to Holly Holm at UFC 193 back in November. While Rousey has stated that she had an interest in fighting in the big New York card at the Madison Square Garden at UFC 205 later this year, UFC President Dana White is still unsure when “Rowdy” will step back into the Octagon.

The UFC is searching for a new opponent for UFC Hall of Fame legend and former two-time UFC champ BJ Penn for a UFC 199 bout on June 4. Penn’s originally scheduled opponent, Dennis Siver, pulled out of the fight due to suffering an injury. Now, with just over three weeks out from the fight, Penn is without an opponent.

Conor McGregor certainly threw the UFC a bit of a curveball last month when he refused to fulfill his media obligations for his UFC 200 fight with Nate Diaz on July 9th. McGregor tweeted that he was retired, which was followed up by an announcement from the UFC that McGregor had been pulled from the event after refusing to fulfill his obligations.

Tuesday night unfortunate news surfaced that former UFC middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva had been forced out of his UFC 198 matchup with Uriah Hall this Saturday due to a problem with his gallbladder. It was revealed that Silva would need to undergo surgery to have his gallbladder removed on Wednesday. Wednesday morning an update was given by Silva’s physician that ‘The Spider’ had successfully his gallbladder removed, and would hopefully be released from the hospital on Friday.

Unfortunate news broke Tuesday evening that former UFC middleweight champion Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva had been forced out of his UFC 198 Pay-Per View fight with Uriah Hall due to an issue with his gallbladder. An update emerged late Tuesday night that Silva would need to undergo a Cholecystectomy, also known as a gallbladder removal.

Tuesday evening, a report was published which revealed that 4 bidders have emerged to purchase the UFC. While the report from ESPN also revealed that the UFC owners were in “advanced talks” to sell the promotion, that isn’t the case according to UFC President Dana White.

More injuries are causing problems for the UFC. After a late report on Tuesday that Anderson Silva was forced to pull out of his UFC 198 bout against Uriah Hall, BJPENN.COM has learned that UFC featherweight Dennis Siver has pulled out of his UFC 199 bout with BJ Penn.

Former middleweight king Anderson Silva has faced another setback putting him on the sidelines. Yahoo! reported late Tuesday that Silva was forced to pull out of his scheduled bout with Uriah Hall scheduled for May 14 at UFC 198 “due to abdominal pain that may require gall bladder surgery.”

Tuesday afternoon news broke that UFC Hall of Famer BJ Penn’s fight against Dennis Siver at UFC 199 would take place on the televised prelims, as opposed to the Pay-Per View section of the card, as many expected. According to MMAFighting, Penn vs. Siver will serve as the main event of the preliminary card before Dustin Poirier vs. Bobby Green kicks off the Pay-Per View portion of the card.
