Another UFC fighter has been flagged by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). Lightweight Carlos Diego Ferreira was flagged by USADA and has been pulled from his scheduled UFC Fight Night 88 bout versus Abel Trujillo. UFC Fight Night 88 is scheduled to take place on May 29.

News emerged earlier this week that former MMA legend and former PRIDE FC champion Wanderlei Silva had been hit by a car while riding his bike. A statement was released through Silva’s official Facebook page, which requested that fans pray for the legend, as would need to undergo shoulder surgery. Now, in a new post, Wanderlei revealed that he will also need knee surgery, and could have died as a result of the accident. His post translates to:

There have been conflicting reports for some time now regarding a potential boxing match between the two, despite the fact that McGregor is an MMA fighter. While many didn’t believe that the match would ever be treated as a possibility, UFC President Dana White stated that Mayweather should call him if he wants to fight Conor McGregor.

Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva was slated to fight Uriah Hall this Saturday at UFC 198. Unfortunately for Silva, the week of the fight, he was experiencing gallbladder pain which was later diagnosed as an inflammation of his gallbladder. Silva was taken to the hospital, and had his gallbladder removed on Wednesday. Fortunately for ‘The Spider’ the recovery time is expected to be 4-6 weeks, giving him just enough time to prepare for a fight at UFC 200.
