Ahead of his title fight with Michael Bisping at UFC 199, Rockhold spoke with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour and said that he is making over $1 million per fight as the champ.

After Teddy Atlas stated that he wouldn’t train McGregor for a fight with Mayweather, Roach stated the he would in fact train McGregor, despite the overwhelming odds of fighting Mayweather.

In the main event, Team Alpha Male’s Cody ‘No Love’ Garbrandt put on a spectacular performance against Thomas Almeida as he finished the previously undefeated Brazilian by KO. In the co-main event, Jeremy Stephens returned to the win column as he picked up an impressive unanimous decision win over former UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao.

News broke this week from RPP that UFC women’s bantamweight Valentina Shevchenko was at a restaurant in Peru with her coach, who is also married to her sister, when an armed robbery took place. The robbers reportedly had the registers entered, and then began having customers empty their wallets. Shevchenko’s coach Pavel Fedotov produced a firearm and open fired on the 3 robbers. Fortunately he killed one of the robbers, however the other two escaped, and Fedotov was shot in the stomach.

Sunday night, in the main event of ‘UFC Fight Night: Vegas’ Cody Garbrandt put on a phenomenal show against the previously undefeated Thomas Almeida, as he picked up a 1st round KO win. On the preliminary card, #8 ranked bantamweight Bryan Caraway defeated #4 ranked Aljamain Sterling via split decision. Garbrandt’s win over Almeida put him in the top 5 rankings in the mind’s of many MMA fans.

Ultimately, Rick Story won the bout via unanimous decision in a successful UFC return, making it 3 straight wins. Despite the win, Story left with a pretty banged up leg courtesy of Saffiedine. In what is likely to be the feel-good story of the day, #14 ranked UFC lightweight Rashid Magomedov saved the life of a drowning child in Dagestan earlier this week. According to Cageside.Ru, while walking with his friend along the October Revolution Canal, Magomedov noticed a boy drowning, at which point he jumped in. Despite struggling to reach the boy, the pair finally reached the 6 year old, who was unconscious at that point.

Sunday night in Las Vegas, Aljamain Sterling and Bryan Caraway stepped in the Octagon to settle their feud. Sterling was the one who initially called for a fight against Caraway, however it was Caraway who left the Octagon with the win. The fight was a rather close one, with many scoring the bout in favor of Sterling, however the judges awarded Caraway the split decision win.
