Back in 2004, Rafael dos Anjos made his professional MMA debut in Juiz de Fora, Brazil. dos Anjos lost the fight via split decision to Adriano Abu. Shortly after the fight, Abu decided to step away from MMA to work as a prison guard in order to stay close to home. 10 years after his fight with dos Anjos, there was a prison riot. Abu, who is widely respected by both the prisoners and guards, was off duty at the time, but headed to the prison to help with the situation.

The fight was a rather controversial one, with Bisping losing his mouthguard midway through the fight. Last month, MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko returned to the cage to fight UFC veteran Fabio Maldonado in the main event of EFN 50 in Russia. The fight was a controversial one, with Emelianenko getting the win via majority decision. Immediately following the fight, Maldonado and his team revealed that they would be appealing the decision. The controversial aspect of the story is that Omielanczuk will not be suspended for the drug test due to the fact that the substance was added to the banned substance list on January 1st, and there’s still questions regarding how long it stays in the user’s system. In addition, there are questions as to whether or not Meldonium is actually a performance enhancer.

It sounds like Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson are getting the fight they both want. Combate reported on Friday that UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping and #13 UFC ranked middleweight Dan Henderson have both verbally agreed to fight one another for the UFC middleweight title in October. The report states that the contracts are expected to be signed in the coming weeks with the official announcement from the UFC coming shortly after.
