After making her successful UFC debut at UFC 198 earlier this year by knocking out Leslie Smith, Invicta FC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg is reportedly set to headline UFC Fight Night 95 on September 24th. The event will be held in Brasilia, Brazil, and according to MMAWeekly will see Cyborg square off against UFC newcomer Lina Lansberg, however there has been no word as to what weight the fight will take place at.

While many believe that USADA is doing a phenomenal job of testing UFC fighters in an attempt to eliminate PED usage in MMA, the US Anti-Doping Agency isn’t ready to take their foot off the pedal just yet. UFC VP of Athlete Health & Performance Jeff Novitzky told MMAFighting that USADA is looking to test nearly 700 fighters in the 3rd quarter of 2016, nearly triple the amount they were doing per quarter in 2015.

In addition to the rumored Bisping vs. Henderson rematch going down in the main event, MMAFighting is reporting that Jimi Manuwa vs. Ovince Saint Preux is being targeted for a light heavyweight scrap for the event. In addition, Stefan Struve vs. Ruslan Magomedov is being targeted for the event in a heavyweight tilt.

Immediately after Tyron Woodley knocked out Robbie Lawler at UFC 201 to become the new UFC welterweight champion of the world, “The chosen one” campaigned for a fight with Nick Diaz. Diaz, fresh off an 18-month suspension for testing positive for marijuana, said that he isn’t in any rush to get back in the Octagon. Diaz stated that even though Woodley has the belt, he is the one that is giving him the shot at a big name fight, not the other way around.

Earlier this year the MMA community mourned the death of fighter Joao Carvalho who passed away after being TKOd during an event in Dublin. The man who TKOd Carvalho was Charlie Ward, teammate of UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor. The featherweight champ not only helped Ward prepare for the fight, but was also sitting cageside for the catastrophe. McGregor was extremely vocal about the tragedy, posting heartfelt messages on his social media pages regarding the heartbreaking situation.

UFC heavyweight veteran Mark Hunt has continued to make headlines following his UFC 200 scrap with Brock Lesnar last month, where he lost a unanimous decision. Following the fight, it was revealed that Lesnar had failed both an out-of-competition pre-fight drug test, as well as a fight night drug test. Despite that, Woodley says that former welterweight kingpin Georges St-Pierre is actually interested in a fight.
