The altercation saw objects thrown across the room while UFC President Dana White, UFC exec Dave Sholler, and a security team attempted to regain control of the situation. Thursday morning, Dana White no-showed a scheduled appearance on popular radio show ‘Mike & Mike’ through ESPN.

Wednesday afternoon, while the MMA world was wrapped up in the news of Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz’ UFC 202 press conference altercation, news surfaced that Chael Sonnen’s daughter, Blauna Dian Sonnen, tragically passed away. News surfaced earlier this week that Sonnen’s daughter was born 10 weeks premature as a result of a listeria infection contracted by Sonnen’s wife Brittney from eating food contaminated with the bacteria. The former title challenger released a statement regarding the situation saying that his daughter was “in a battle”, however just 4 days later she passed away.

McGregor responded by grabbing various items from the stage, including Monster Energy cans, and throwing them back at the Diaz brothers while Dana White and Dave Sholler attempted to gain control of the situation.
