Dan Hooker ends friendship with Paddy Pimblett after vulgar remark about mother: ‘It’s on sight’

Dan Hooker thought he had a friend in fellow UFC lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett. It seems he was wrong.
Pimblett is set to battle Justin Gaethje for the interim lightweight title at UFC 324 on Jan. 24. In a pre-fight interview with MMA Guru, the British contender was discussing the matchup when he took an unexpected shot at Hooker.
“People are saying Justin Gaethje is old and that, lad,” Pimblett said. “He’s two years older than Dan Hooker. Dan Hooker couldn’t grapple a f**king r*pist off his ma.”

It was a bit of a surprising remark from Pimblett. Not just because of its vulgarity, but because he and Hooker recently crossed paths in Qatar, and seemed to be on decent terms. It also seems unlikely they’ll meet in the Octagon any time soon, so the comment can’t really be attributed to fight promotion.
Dan Hooker fires back at Paddy Pimblett
Unsurprisingly, it did not take Hooker long to catch wind of his UFC rival’s remark.
He revealed that he believed he was on good terms with Pimblett, based on their encounter in Qatar.
Ain’t said shit when we were face to face bitch. I thought we were mates, but you’re not a very good mate are you @PaddyTheBaddy RIP Ricky 🕊️🪦 pic.twitter.com/00fvbzLLC3

“Ain’t said shit when we were face to face b*tch,” Hooker wrote on X. “I thought we were mates, but you’re not a very good mate are you @PaddyTheBaddy RIP Ricky.”
Hooker then took things up a notch, warning Pimblett it’s “on sight” when they cross paths again.
“Its on site u fat b*tch,” he wrote in a second post.
Dan Hooker last fought in the main event of the UFC card in Qatar. He was dominated to a submission loss by top lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan. He is now set to face Benoit Saint Denis at UFC 325 on January 31 in Australia.
