Aiemann Zahabi’s loss to Sean O’Malley was stopped too quickly, says Georges St-Pierre

UFC legend Georges St-Pierre believes that Aiemann Zahabi’s fight against Sean O’Malley was stopped too early.
While Aiemann Zahabi seemingly had a good chance of defeating Sean O’Malley heading into UFC Freedom 250, hope was soon extinguished by Sean after a great combination led him down the path of a victory that will likely set him up for another crack at the UFC bantamweight championship.
Some, meanwhile, felt as if Zahabi had more to offer, and that includes Georges St-Pierre, someone who has been there for long periods of his career and has been able to see his growth up close.
In a recent interview, GSP had the following to say about the stoppage, as well as what went wrong for Zahabi.
GSP weighs in on Zahabi’s loss to O’Malley
“They stopped it I think too fast,” he continued. “I think Aiemann could have recovered and Aiemann has a joker in his game if I can use this expression. He’s very good on the floor and he never really uses it.”
“I think with what he had, that was the best game plan but we unfortunately didn’t see all of it because the fight didn’t last until the end,” St-Pierre reflected.

Regardless of whether or not it was stopped early, Aiemann certainly needs to go back to the drawing board if he is still serious about making a run and becoming a world champion before his career comes to an end – especially with how stacked things are looking at bantamweight right now.
