Ian Machado Garry issues a warning to rival Islam Makhachev ahead of UFC 330

UFC welterweight contender Ian Machado Garry has issued a warning to reigning champion Islam Makhachev ahead of UFC 330.
Later this summer, Ian Machado Garry finally gets his shot at gold in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He will take on Islam Makhachev, the reigning king at 170 pounds, and many believe he has what it takes to actually dethrone the champ and bring a title back to Ireland.
Of course, Makhachev is a different beast to most of the guys that Machado Garry has faced, but he is still ready to put himself out there and prove that there’s a reason why he is in this position ahead of many others.
In a recent post on social media, Machado Garry had the following to say about his fight against one of the best in the sport.
Machado Garry sends a warning to Makhachev
“I don’t think Islam has a lot of weaknesses,” Machado Garry said on Instagram. “He’s never fought someone as long and tall as me. He’s not fought someone as fast as me. He’s not fought someone who has the distance management, the boxing capabilities, the head movement that I do, but also the takedown defense. He might get me down.
“I hope he does, ’cause I want to prove to the world that he can’t submit me. I want to prove to the world that I can get back up. I want to prove to the world that I can beat him in his own world. I don’t care how long he’s trained in that area. I don’t care if he’s an internationally recognized master of Sambo or not.”
“I’m going to bounce him on his skull,” Machado Garry said. “I’m going to take his title. I’m going to take his throne. And I’m going to finish that consecutive win streak. And I’ll always be the guy that stopped history from happening.”
