Nontachai promises “war” against Semih Sah Cindir at ONE Friday Fights 145

Nontachai Jitmuangnon returns to action at ONE Friday Fights 145 on Friday, March 6, inside Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 26-year-old Thai faces Turkish promotional debutant Semih Sah Cindir in featherweight Muay Thai action, chasing his 52nd career victory.

Nontachai has done his homework on the newcomer. He sees a boxing-heavy fighter who relentlessly presses forward — but one with a critical vulnerability that the 4-ounce gloves will expose.

“Semih Sah is a really aggressive fighter,” Nontachai said. “From the footage I’ve seen, he never backs down. He has a very boxing-heavy style and uses a lot of footwork since he has a background in boxing.”

Nontachai targets early finish and revenge against Abdulla Dayakaev

The smaller gloves used in ONE Championship are a new element for Cindir, and Nontachai plans to make that adjustment period as painful as possible. His game plan centers on closing distance and smothering his opponent’s punch output from the inside.

But the Thai striker isn’t content with just a win. He wants a finish, and he wants it early. A decision won’t satisfy him on Friday night.

“I expect things to heat up right from the first round,” Nontachai said. “I’m going to be the one moving forward, and I’ll be looking for the finish from the start. I want to earn my spot back on the main roster. I know he’ll be looking to make a name for himself by knocking out a contracted ONE athlete like me, so it’s going to be a war.”

Beyond Friday, a bigger target remains in his sights. Abdulla Dayakaev knocked Nontachai out in just 24 seconds at ONE Fight Night 33 last July — the fastest knockout in ONE Muay Thai featherweight history. That debt hasn’t been forgotten.

“My goal for this year is to keep this winning streak alive and break into the rankings,” Nontachai said. “And of course, I haven’t forgotten about Abdulla. Once I get past this fight, I want the chance to run it back and get my revenge.”
