Michael Page responds after Ian Machado Garry predicts he will get “crushed” by Kevin Holland at UFC 299
Michael Page has given his thoughts on Ian Machado Garry suggesting he will lose to Kevin Holland this weekend.
On Saturday night, UFC 299 will emanate from Miami, Florida. In one of the featured bouts of the evening, Michael ‘Venom’ Page will make his long-awaited debut for the promotion when he collides with Kevin Holland. In the eyes of many, this is a fun test for MVP as he begins the latest chapter in his MMA story.
Of course, as is so often the case in this sport, critics are far too quick to tear someone down. In this instance, we’re referring to Ian Machado Garry, who recently predicted that Holland would derail Page’s hype train in a convincing fashion.
In response, MVP had the following to say on the Irishman’s prediciton.

“Everyone’s entitled to their opinions,” Page said. “He’s allowed to share his thoughts because he’s at the top level now. I also think that’s a bit of worry. It’s like ‘I hope he gets crushed because that means I’m not in line for anything’. Because of my winning, that means I’m potentially in line [for the title], so there’s no other reason not to fight me…
“There’s going to be people wishing for my downfall because they don’t want to cross me. That’s how I see it, I don’t need to tear him down for anything. I’ll just make him eat his words when I know him out.”
