Michael Bisping Rips Tony Ferguson on Twitter

Last Saturday, in the main event of UFC 204, UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping avenged an ugly, 2009 loss to Dan Henderson with a hard-fought unanimous decision win. Not everyone believed he deserved that win, however.

In the wake of Bisping’s defeat of Henderson – which marked his first successful defense as middleweight king – many of the game’s top fighters took to Twitter to express their belief that Henderson should have received the judges’ nod.

One such fighter was streaking lightweight contender Tony Ferguson, who will take on former champ Rafael Dos Anjos on November 5.

In this Tweet, Ferguson is referencing Henderson’s post-fight suggestion that he should have been given the decision because he inflicted far more visible damage on Bisping than he received in return. Bisping, however, didn’t appreciate Ferguson’s remark, and quickly fired back at him on Twitter.

“If they judged you by the way you look, you’d be locked up,” Bisping said to the lightweight contender. This fire from the middleweight champ, unsurprisingly, prompted a rebuttal from Ferguson.

“Locked up cause I’m a Str8 killer,” Ferguson said in his response. “I finish fights, never leave it to the judges. Don’t be sensitive, Mike. I quoted Dan.”

Needless to say, Bisping and Ferguson do not seem to be particularly fond of one another. Given that they’re separated by separated by something in the area of 30 pounds, however, their beef will probably never be settled in the UFC’s Octagon.
