UFC 205, which marked the UFC’s long-awaited debut in New York City, New York, was highlighted by a number of dominant performances. One such performance was Conor McGregor’s second-round knockout of lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, which would establish him as the first fighter in UFC history to wear gold in two divisions simultaneously. Another was strawweight champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s five-round defeat of fellow Polish star Karolina Kowalkiewicz. A third was Yoel Romero’s third-round execution of Chris Weidman.

And then, of course, there was Khabib Nurmagomedov’s mauling of Michael Johnson, which occured on the event’s undercard. The Russian’s win, which ended with a second-round kimura, was undoubtedly one of the most impressive showings of the night.
