Instead, Jones’ many recent legal woes resulted in his being stripped of the UFC light heavyweight title, which was claimed by long-time rival Daniel Cormier in his stead. Earlier this year, of course, it looked like Jones was ready to turn things around.

A fan who purchased four tickets to July’s blockbuster UFC 200 event in Las Vegas, which was expected to be headlined by a light heavyweight title unification bout between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier, is taking “Bones” and his management team to court. BloodyElbow is reporting that on August 19, Sean Slattery filed a lawsuit in San Diego Superior Court against Jones and his managers, First Round Management, for concealment, negligent misrepresentation, and negligence relating to the interim champ’s flagged drug test results and subsequent removal from July’s UFC 200 fight card in Las Vegas.
