Henry Cejudo says Merab Dvalishvili beating the winner of O’Malley-Vera is “easy money” after fighting him

Henry Cejudo believes Merab Dvalishvili will win the UFC bantamweight title in his next fight.

Dvalishvili secured a title shot by scoring a decision win over Cejudo at UFC 298 earlier this month. It was a great performance from the Georgian who used his wrestling and relentless pace to get the win.

Although Sean O’Malley is set to rematch Marlon Vera next weekend at UFC 299, Henry Cejudo believes regardless of who wins, Merab Dvalishvili will beat both of them with ease.

“Obviously, he’s got the next title shot, he’s going to be there in Miami, Chito vs. Sean O’Malley. He will be there in person, so I think either way the winner or whoever fights Merab, it will be easy money,” Henry Cejudo said on his YouTube channel. “His pace is too ridiculous. Unless O’Malley or Chito catches him early in round one or round two, but I will say this, this dude can take a hit and still keep coming forward. I’ve seen him get decked by Ricky Simon, still came forward, I saw him get rocked by Marlon Moraes and myself by that crazy hook.

“This guy’s got endurance, man, the time is for him to become a world champion. Even if he were to fight Alajmain Sterling, getting a chance to be in there with both of them, he’d beat Sterling, too, he really would. I think the pace he would carry even with a guy like Sterling, I think he gets rid of him. This guy, especially in a five-round fight, it’s impressive,” Cejudo continued about Merab Dvalishvili.

It is high praise for Merab Dvalishvili from Henry Cejudo who admitted the Georgian got him fatigued much earlier in a fight than he usually does. Cejudo believes the pace that Dvalishvili sets makes it hard to go the distance with him. With that, he thinks if O’Malley or Vera do fight Dvalishvili, they will need to KO him early or it will be a long night for them,
