Erin Blanchfield set for long-awaited return at UFC 330 with title shot on the line

UFC flyweight contender Erin Blanchfield will return at UFC 330 with a potential title shot on the line against another rising star.

As UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko nears potential retirement, rising contenders like Erin Blanchfield are waiting in the wings for a shot at the belt. Blanchfield, who hasn’t fought since finishing Tracy Cortez at UFC 322 last year, is one of the top contenders in the women’s flyweight division.

Recent wins over the likes of Rose Namajunas, Taila Santos, and Jessica Andrade propelled Blanchfield into the women’s flyweight title mix. As Shevchenko plots her next move, Blanchfield could potentially be one win away from a title shot.

UFC 330 will mark the promotion’s long-awaited return to Philadelphia for the first time in many years on August 15th. Blanchfield will return to the Octagon on the Islam Makhachev vs. Ian Machado Garry undercard against a rising star.

Erin Blanchfield vs. Jasmine Jasudavicius added to UFC 330 undercard

The UFC announced on Wednesday that Blanchfield will fight Jasmine Jasudavicius on the UFC 330 undercard. Jasudavicius most recently defeated Karine Silva in April after a brutal TKO loss to former title challenger Manon Fiorot at UFC Vancouver.

Before falling to Fiorot, Jasudavicius won five consecutive fights, including recent victories over Andrade, Mayra Bueno Silva, and Ariane da Silva. The former Dana White’s Contender Series standout is one of the top grapplers in the flyweight division.

It’s a stiff test for Blanchfield, who, like Jasudavicius, is considered by many to be an elite flyweight grappler. The 27-year-old Blanchfield will look to make a statement in her long-awaited UFC return.

Meanwhile, Shevchenko is rumored to fight top contender Natalia Silva in her next title defense later this year. She hasn’t fought since defeating Zhang Weili at UFC 322 in November.
