Sean O’Malley voices bonus frustration after UFC Freedom 250 victory

UFC star Sean O’Malley has voiced his frustration after not being awarded a bonus for his big win at UFC Freedom 250 last weekend.
On Sunday night, Sean O’Malley made his case for another UFC bantamweight title opportunity when he knocked out Aiemann Zahabi. It was a beautiful exchange that led to the finish, with Sean even hitting a salute as he walked off in victory in front of a jubilant crowd.
Despite that, though, there was no Performance of the Night bonus to speak of for O’Malley, with Ciryl Gane and Justin Gaethje getting the nod for their own exceptional outings at the White House.
Following the event, O’Malley made it clear that he wasn’t happy with how that particular portion of the evening played out.
O’Malley discusses bonus frustration
“Then we did a f*cking pointless press conference where I didn’t get a bonus, and it was f*cking ridiculous,” O’Malley told MMA Guru. “I was just telling Tim, like these wins feel good. Like it feels good, but if I would have lost, those are just so much worse than wins. It’s like, why even do this sh*t?”
There were, however, positives coming out of the event for ’Suga’ despite not getting his hands on some extra cash.
“It felt like I got to redeem myself from the Sphere fight,” O’Malley said. “That Sphere fight, very time it gets brought up, ‘Oh, you fought at the Sphere.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, well kind of.’ It’s just like now I feel like I got to redeem myself, and it felt good.”
