Dominick Cruz blasts “uncoachable” Urijah Faber

By bjpenndotcom - March 12, 2016

After Dominick Cruz made his triumphant return to the cage against TJ Dillashaw in December, Urijah Faber immediately called out his nemesis for a trilogy fight.

While many wanted to see Cruz have a rematch with TJ Dillashaw given that their fight was called a split decision, the UFC cashed in on the hype of a trilogy bout between Cruz and Faber and booked the two to fight in the co-main event of UFC 199 on June 4th.

Cruz spoke at the EA Sports UFC launch party to discuss Faber, and it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Cruz took the opportunity to take a verbal jab at Faber.

MMAFighting has the transcription:

“I don’t think he’s regressed. I don’t. I don’t think he’s gotten worse. I think that he’s the stayed the same and the game has progressed. That’s the difference. I think Faber is uncoachable. I think that anytime somebody goes in there to coach him, he ends up kicking them out, because he has to be the alpha. I think that’s been the downfall of his career.”
