Last night, in the co-main event of the UFC’s anticipated return to Austin, Texas, Derrick Lewis surged back into the heavyweight contendership picture with a thunderous third-round stoppage of Polish contender Marcin Tybura. That said, the Texan heavyweight was not without close calls, as Tybura had him in trouble on the mat on more than one occasion.
Here’s how the pros reacted to Derrick Lewis’s back-and-forth win over Marcin Tybura.
Note: If you’re wondering what Cody Garbrandt means by “shimmy shake”, that’s what Lewis’s corner screamed to him as he attempted to joggle Tybura off his back. Expect this terminology to be written into the annals of MMA folklore posthaste.

Lewis has the craziest fights. I’ve seen him losing 4 fights in a row and end up winning. Dangerous AF #UFCAustin
