The fight served as a title fight rematch, as “Mighty Mouse” had previously defeated Cejudo via first-round TKO at UFC 197 in April of 2016.

Tonight’s rematch was much different when compared to the pairs first encounter. Johnson utilized his fantastic speed to land a plethora of strikes on Cejudo. However, Henry was able to score some timely takedowns and work his wrestling to even up the scorecards going into round five.

In the final round Cejudo was able to combine a takedown with a late flurry to sway two of the three judges in his favor.

Henry Cejudo ended Johnson’s twelve fight win streak via split-decision (48-47, 47-48, 48-47).
