UFC CEO Dana White has admitted that he didn’t like Colby Covington’s remarks about Leon Edwards’ deceased father. Last weekend, Colby Covington fell short in his attempt to dethrone Leon Edwards in the main event of UFC 296. In fact, it was a pretty poor performance overall from the challenger, and fight fans weren’t happy with the resulting bout.

Dana White has spoken out on the UFC 296 crowd brawl involving Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis. Strickland and Du Plessis had a heated moment during a press conference the week of UFC 296. Strickland and Du Plessis will do battle for the UFC Middleweight Championship on January 20, but both men were invited to attend UFC 296 in Las Vegas. Prior to UFC 296, Du Plessis mentioned Strickland’s past issues with abuse from his father.

UFC CEO Dana White has reacted to Colby Covington’s performance in his UFC 296 loss to Leon Edwards. Covington challenged “Rocky” for the UFC Welterweight Championship inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 16. One thing that was apparent was that the forward pressure Covington has been known for was non-existent. “Chaos” struggled to get a rhythm going, and Edwards was awarded the unanimous decision victory.

Dana White has announced a few key fights scheduled for the UFC 299 card. UFC 299 is scheduled to be held inside the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida on March 9, 2024. The event will be headlined by a UFC Bantamweight Championship fight between titleholder Sean O’Malley and Marlon “Chito” Vera. Also set for the card is a heavyweight tilt between Jailton Almeida and Curtis Blaydes, and a lightweight clash between Mateusz Gamrot and Rafael dos Anjos.

The ending to the Turner vs. Green fight was brutal, and Hatley, the official inside the ring, has come under fire for his late stoppage. Turner was on top of Green raining down strikes and it was clear that Hatley’s time to step in was due. Instead, Hatley waited until Green was put to sleep, perhaps multiple times, to stop the fight. It wasn’t a pretty sight and White is in total agreement with those who have criticized the referee.
