Jacare Souza admittedly scared of COVID-19, but must compete at UFC 249 to keep his house

Jacare Souza has admitted that he is scared of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, but that he will still fight at UFC 249 in order to help pay his bills. As of this writing, UFC 249 is scheduled to go ahead on April 18 on tribal land in California. One of the most intriguing undercard fights will see Jacare, 40, go head to head with Ultimate Fighter 17 winner Uriah Hall.

Joe Rogan won’t be on commentary duty for the upcoming UFC 249 card. UFC 249 has been the topic of much discussion lately. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, UFC president Dana White has been adamant that the card will still occur on April 18 — albeit without an audience. The location of the card, which was originally set to emanate from Brooklyn, New York, is still a mystery.

Boxer Otto Wallin believes he has COVID-19

Otto Wallin, a former opponent of boxing heavyweight champ Tyson Fury, believes he’s caught COVID-19. Wallin made this announcement during an interview with TMZ. He explained that his mother recently visited him in New York City, and that she began to feel ill after returning home to Sweden. Her boyfriend also fell ill, and later tested positive for COVID-19.
