The Marcelo Garcia black belt who was brought in for the UFC 202 training camp to prepare for Nate Diaz is still a part of McGregor’s UFC 205 camp and now considers McGregor his Irish brother. “I’m here for him”, Danis said in a report from The Mac Life. “We help each other. I wouldn’t say I’m just helping him because he also helps me a lot. My mind – everything. We’re a good tag-team, I think. He’s my brother from Ireland. I have my brothers back home in New York and now I have my brothers here too.”

In addition to the six-figure fine, Mcgregor was also ordered to 50 hours of community service and will have to participate in an “anti-bullying campaign for the commission,” according to a report from MMA Fighting.

bjpenndotcom - October 7, 2016

After suffering the first loss of his UFC career back in March at the hands of Nate Diaz, McGregor was able to avenge the loss at UFC 202 as he picked up a majority decision win over the Stockton superstar. While there was some speculation as to what weight class McGregor’s next fight would be at, the featherweight champ remained noncommittal about returning to featherweight to fight Jose Aldo once again, despite Dana White stating that he would be stripped of the belt if he doesn’t defend it. Ultimately, McGregor signed to fight UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez in the main event of UFC 205, the UFC’s inaugural event at the Madison Square Garden on November 12th.

In April of 2013, a 25-year-old Conor McGregor waved goodbye to a job as a plumber’s apprentice and made a successful UFC debut with a first-round TKO of Marcus Brimage. In the moments after the win, McGregor would famously call for a knockout of the night bonus. He would receive that bonus, and return home to Ireland $60,000 richer. Given that McGregor had just collected a welfare check for €180—roughly $230 USD at the time—this was obviously a huge moment for him.

Tom Taylor - October 2, 2016
In the main event of August’s UFC 202, Conor McGregor defeated Nate Diaz by majority decision, avenging an early 2016 loss to the same man in the process. Yet McGregor would leave Las Vegas with a whole hell of a lot more than his vengeance. While McGregor’s disclosed purse was $3 million – hardly a meagre amount on its own – it’s estimated that he walked away from the fight something in the area of $15 million dollars richer. Considering he’s been paid fortunes for several of his previous fights, and is seemingly always making money through various endeavours on the side, it’s safe to say that McGregor is doing quite well for himself. So well, in fact, that he estimates he’ll close out 2016 $40 million dollars richer than he was when the year started.

Conor McGregor to make "personal" announcement "out of left field" post-UFC 205
bjpenndotcom - September 29, 2016
UFC President Dana White caught quite a bit of criticism recently when it was announced that UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor would be moving up to featherweight for a lightweight title fight with Eddie Alvarez in the main event of UFC 205. While White stated prior to McGregor’s showdown with Nate Diaz at UFC 202 that ‘Notorious’ would be forced to defend his featherweight championship, or vacate the belt, it was revealed that McGregor will not be stripped of the 145 pound championship despite his fight with Alvarez. Rather, McGregor will only have to vacate a title belt if he emerges from his UFC 205 scrap with Alvarez with the lightweight championship.
