Conor McGregor’s short statement on the sale of the UFC

Late Sunday, the big news of the sale of the UFC was released. UFC President Dana White acknowledged the sale to ESPN and said, “Sport is going to the next level.”

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor who recently commented on the sale of the UFC at the UFC 202 press conference reacted to the news of the sale on twitter early Monday morning.

McGregor tweeted, “I am honoured to have fought under the Fertitta regime! To have been mentored by these great people on this great business is a true honour!”

Conor McGregor is set to fight Nate Diaz in a non-title welterweight rematch at UFC 202 scheduled for August 20 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
