Chael Sonnen writes poetic callout to Jorge Masvidal in latest chapter of ongoing feud

UFC Hall of Famer Chael Sonnen took to social media to poke fun at longtime adversary Jorge Masvidal.

Former BMF titleholder Jorge Masvidal is still eying a potential return to the UFC Octagon later this year in a reversal of his UFC 287 retirement. After a loss to Gilbert Burns in Miami, Masvidal opted to hang up the gloves and walk away from MMA after a legendary run in the promotion.

But Masvidal appears ready to take on top names in his latest comeback attempt as he tries to write a second chapter to his self-described ‘Resurrection’. He hasn’t won since defeating Nate Diaz at UFC 244 for the inaugural BMF belt.

Ahead of his planned UFC comeback, Masvidal and UFC Hall of Famer Chael Sonnen have reignited their long-standing beef. Sonnen recently questioned the sincerity of Masvidal’s MMA comeback after Masvidal missed out on a spot on the upcoming White House card.

After Masvidal went on an explicit rant on his podcast in response to Sonnen’s claims, it didn’t take long for Sonnen to respond, but his method was creative.

In a recent post to X, Sonnen appeared to reignite his longtime feud with the inaugural BMF champion Masvidal.

“There’s a Poser from Miami. Who’s been actin’ outta pocket. If he came to RAF. I’d tear his arm out the socket,” Sonnen penned.

“But he can’t get to Dallas. Because no airline will let him pay w/credit-cards. As fake as his hairline. So he’ll sit there in Miami. He’ll whine & he’ll shout. Til his weight hits 400. And his hair-plugs fall out. REAL AMERICAN FREESTYLE DALLAS
FOX NATION.”

Masvidal recently pushed for a bare-knuckle fight at heavyweight against Sonnen under his Gamebred MMA promotion. But Sonnen seems determined to face Masvidal on the wrestling mats as he continues to be a top presence on Real American Freestyle broadcasts.

In either case, Sonnen and Masvidal’s feud continues to heat up, and things don’t seem to be cooling off anytime soon.
