While it was previously reported that Anderson Silva would be unable to fight in his hometown of Curitiba Brazil at UFC 198 due to a lack of opponents, a recent report indicates that may no longer be the case.

A report has surfaced from Sherdog which revealed that the UFC is reportedly looking to book Anderson Silva to fight the always exciting Uriah Hall at UFC 198 on May 14th. The card is headlined by Fabricio Werdum vs. Stipe Miocic, but given Silva’s fame, the bout will likely be on the pay-per view portion of the card.

It was also reportedly that the UFC is looking to finalize the announcement shortly.

Silva is coming off a decision loss to Michael Bisping in the main event of UFC London, whereas Hall is also coming off a loss to Robert Whittaker at UFC 193 in November. The loss snapped Hall’s 2-fight win streak which saw him TKO both Oluwale Bamgbose and Gegard Mousasi.
