Paulie Malignaggi takes another shot at Conor McGregor: “He can’t stop talking about me”

By Tom Taylor - August 13, 2018

Paulie Malignaggi was supposed to be an ally of Conor McGregor. The retired boxer was brought into the Irish mixed martial artist’s camp to help him prepare for his August 2017 boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr.

When Paulie Malignaggi began to feel as though he was being misrepresented by McGregor and his team, however, he packed his bags.

From there, the retired boxer and the MMA superstar engaged in a number of social media quarrels — primarily about the alleged knockdown McGregor scored on Malignaggi in a sparring session. They even got into it once or twice in person.

Eventually, of course, this beef fizzled out. McGregor’s fight with Mayweather came and went, and after some brief buzz about a boxing match with Malignaggi, we all moved on.

For awhile.

Closing in on the one year anniversary of Mayweather vs. McGregor, the Irishman reminisced about his alleged knockdown of Paulie Malignaggi.

“Time flies when you are on your ass,” the Irish MMA star said.

Paulie Malignaggi promptly responded to this comment from the Irishman.

“Dude has had 2 kids and an ass kicking since this and he still lives off a fake knockdown that he knows wasn’t real lol,” Malignaggi said on Twitter. [Conor McGregor] your feelings are still hurt? Dont get ur feelings hurt u lil bitch its still our lil secret. Dont run for your life when they ring the bell.”

Since then, Malignaggi has taken a few more shots at McGregor on Twitter. He feels that McGregor just can’t stop talking about him.

“Dont let the inner bitch in u come out,” he said, referencing Conor McGregor’s UFC 229 showdown with Khabib Nurmagomedov. “We all know ur gonna pull out the Khabib fight last minute or spend the whole fight runnin 4ur life like u did in rd 5 of the Diaz rematch. U have No BALLS and u think of me 1 yr on cause the reality of my words burns u.”

“1 yr passed and you saw 5 seconds of video in 36 minutes yet he cant stop talkin about me,” Malignaggi added, responding to a fan. “Come on you gotta be smart enough at this point than to think he boxes anything but apples or oranges.”

Do you think Paulie Malignaggi and Conor McGregor will ever settle their beef in the ring?
