On Saturday night, heavyweight boxing once again took center stage, as British big men Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora stepped into the ring for an anticipated rematch.
Though their was no major title on the line in this heavyweight showdown, the stakes were undeniably high, as the winner would be well positioned for more blockbuster fights in the heavyweight division — very possibly a showdown with unified heavyweight champ Anthony Joshua.
In the end, it was Dillian Whyte who made the most of this opportunity, braving some early scares to stop his foe with a bona fide knockout of the year contender in the 11th round.

Post-fight, the victorious Dillian Whyte made the most of his moment in the spotlight with a callout of Anthony Joshua, who was in attendance inside the O2 Arena in London.
“Rematch, let’s go,” Whyte said to the champ, who he lost to in 2015 (via BBC). “Let’s do this.”
While Joshua acknowledged that Whyte is definitely on his radar, he said his first priorities are Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.
Not long thereafter, Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora actually shared a nice moment back stage, showing that, at the end of the day, their furious heavyweight slobber-knocker was strictly business.
